The images are showing the restoration of a late 18th Century Fusee Verge Striking Bracket Clock by Watkins Snow Hill London . The work involved a complete repair including dial,movement,case.This beautiful clock features an engraved back-plate often found in these types of clock.In this example the pictures show how previous careless repairs had to be corrected by re-fitting the bushes correctly to the back-plate.Also shown is the re-bushing of one of the mainspring barrels and the making of a new stud for the strike work.Much work had to be done and once the dial had been re-silvered and the case repaired by Antique Renovations,the clock was restored to it former glory and delivered back to its proud owners
